"Please do take this as a big compliment - not only is the Lumagen a great product, but, I would also suggest that one of the reasons behind the continued success is confidence. So, when someone buys a Lumagen, it comes with a reputation - second to none customer service, and super important , confidence that the end user has in the product. As in the after sales help. This is a reputation that you cannot buy, but is earned. And I would say Jim , that you guys have earned a huge reputation for continued excellence."

"Jim and Patrick’s support and willingness to listen to users is second to none !!! They both went out of there way just recently to cater for a specific request by me in regards to the DTM changes ....it is much much appreciated !!!!... Had friends over last evening for a couple of movies and everyone was in awe of the image presented in my theatre... Couldn't achieve this without the LRP and the ongoing support and continuing improvements!!"

"I am a big fan of the Lumagen as it just works and i have never had a blue screen of death while watching a movie. The Filmmakers who see [their] work on it seem to prefer the look it gives, which makes my job easy when we review stuff!"

"… the Lumagen team's openness, expertise, and willingness to embrace expert feedback and opinion, and actually do something constructive with it, is beyond impressive. Lumagen is hands-down the best electronic device (the performance, engagement, attitude, and support) I've ever owned. Loved this purchase."

"The Lumagen is a solid workhorse. If you keep it cool it should give many years of trouble free service. That said, if something does go wrong Jim is exceptionally fair and helpful."

"Lumagen is still God mode of any video processor!! … As far as customer service and help goes, I can only speak to Lumagen and Jim Peterson......but BY FAR BEST customer service no matter if you have his product or simply asking about it!!! I've yet to come across a company that was better!!!"

"The Lumagen has proven to be the backbone problem solver of my entire home theater. Having a scope screen, if someone were to remove my Lumagen from my rack I would feel it missing immediately! The fact that Jim & Pat continue to make it better is bonkers. Other companies would have already released new hardware telling you it’s impossible to make it any better with the existing hardware and make you buy new hardware."

"… the filmmaker unanimously prefers to watch their work through the Lumagen. If I ever used motion AI to show a person's film, I would be killed and then brought back to life and killed again. We have done blind testing, and they always choose the Lumagen. Jim knows I have no loyalty and am simply driven by the best and have to give the best to the talent. … The guy [filmmaker] looked at both and now has a number of Lumagen's in his houses. around the world and two on his yacht. This story is repeated a number of times over."

"Man I am so happy with my Lumagen its an unbelievable product from a great team who really care. thank you so much. It really is a set and forget product once its setup how you like it and is soooo good. It really is hard to beat what you get out of the product. keep up the great work. I marvel over the picture every time I look at the picture."

"DV is a very good solution to standardizing HDR as without it; you have what we have today in the high-end projection space: different methods of doing the same thing, and not everyone agrees and says their method is better. This is why we have this Coke vs Pepsi going on with video processors. I prefer the way the Lumagen does it, and it's the closest to the scene Dolby analyser tool. It's funny some of the issues people fixate on here. The Dolby Tool does it just the same, so who's right? The major advantage of being able to use DV in the Lumagen would be that you would have an end-to-end 12-bit 4:2:2 pipeline. At the moment you are limited to 10bits because HDR10 is only 10bits. … The sideways thinking the Lumagen does to make it look good is truly impressive. Even if you follow all the standards to the letter and use the maths provided it still does not work right as it needed the proprietary Dolby bit that got removed. Jim & Pat have done an amazing job of emulating that with no idea what that proprietary bit is."

“Lumagen makes me feel, after every major update, that I get a new projector every time, from IM to the DTM a day and night change. It’s a game changer and it’s a must.”

"Here is [where] the Lumagen's design philosophy was so irresistible for me. To purposefully designed and built from the ground up rather than using a PC as a base. It is just elegant solution and the way it should be done IMHO. I understand that FPGA, which is at heart of the unit is still a programmable computing unit but the big difference is that all hardware and software design is under full control of the developer, which is the way it should be done IMHO. The only way to true stability and, as problem free running, as possible (as all the variables are in hands of a single developer)."

"I do find the ongoing argument over the fine detail of scaling quality slightly humorous, not least because the (competitor) still doesn't manage what I consider the most basic for a video device (years on from initial release) - it still lacks a frame accurate input/output sync, with no option to improve this. This means that every so often the scaling quality of the (competitor) is a 100% disaster, as it either swallows or duplicates a frame, and the rest of the time it is slipping the AV sync of the system. The Lumagens do a great job scaling if you need it, all the while maintaining correct sync and low latency if you enable the genlock. Even if the (competitor) scaling quality were out of this world, that would still be enough to bar it from almost any professional application, where accurate sync is considered a given."

"This is the best tone mapping I have ever seen, including professional non real-time solutions. This makes me confident that I made the right choice in picking Lumagen to show some of the world's great filmmakers their work for them to review PQ. From Dailies to the final 4K home master. … I hope you agree this is the world's best video processor by a long long way. The best just got better."

“Lumagen's claim of producing studio-grade reference images is no stretch of the imagination. Indeed, it produced some of the finest images I've seen in my time as a calibrator, not to mention the best looking HDR images I've witnessed from any projector regardless of price point.”

"Just upgraded my Radiance Pro 4446+ to the new 5348. There is magic in this new box! My living room "theater" is currently running a Kaleidescape Strato S as the source, fed to the new Lumagen 5348, with video out to a 77" LG OLED GX display, and audio out to a Trinnov Altitude 16 followed by Bryston amps and Thiel speakers currently in a 10.1 Auro-3D immersive configuration. The soundstage is wider, and the audio sounds more natural, less smeared, less harsh, with more clarity. And while the 5348 is billed as an "audiophile upgrade", there are distinct improvements to the video chain as well - the result being the removal of that last little bit of noise, picture is now crystal clear with more detail and a far more realistic image. For me, the 5348 breathes new life into older movies; I couldn't be happier! I bought a Keces P8 linear power supply to see if it made a difference with my 4446+ (latest model), and it did decrease the video noise somewhat, but there is a lot of additional improvement once moving to the 5348. It's definitely a keeper!"

"Fantastic product for getting the best out of your system and for simplifying use of the system. The dynamic tone mapping of HDR works remarkably well and with my RS3000, automatically switches back and forth between HDR and SDR. Another great feature and that I really like about the Radiance Pro is the auto aspect ratio function with my Panamorph DCR lens. Whenever a scope movie is played, the Radiance Pro automatically fills my scope screen. When a 1.85 or 16:9 movie or show is played, the Radiance Pro fills the height of my scope screen. Between these two functions (HDR auto switching and auto aspect control) it has made my system very family friendly, about as simple to use as a regular TV."

"The LRP has proven to be the best purchase I made for my HT and I think it is essential. Had I known just how much impact it would make, I would have listened to Kris when he calibrated my projector and offered to demonstrate one for me. I was stupid. But I sure do get it now."

"In my limited experience, the improvement due to calibration is nice, and mostly noticeable, while the improvement with a Lumagen is dramatic, like night and day. I would take an out of the box uncalibrated setup with a Lumagen over a perfectly calibrated setup without a Lumagen any day of the week. Not meaning to diss the excellent work (calibrators) do, but calibration is more like icing on the cake, while the Lumagen DTM is a 16 oz porterhouse main course…"
